Stopped by for a drink and ended up having the lamb chops as well. Drinks were good, and the food and artichoke dip were delicious. Wonderful ambiance with the live piano. The player was wonderful and had a beautiful singing voice. The waitress was very nice and attentive.

We were there just for drinks and it was really nice. Great old fashion and we got a bonus hookah experience. We were told this is now a Sushi restaurant. I'm confused

Wasn't sure what to think about this place but they had a special outside, so we thought we'd give it a whirl. The pasta and salad combo with choice of protein hit the spot! The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection and the salad had just the right ratio of dressing and other ingredients, the pasta with vodka sauce was cooked perfectly and left me feeling happy. Love you ambience as it felt like I was in a true Italian Trattoria. Service was friendly.

Love this place! I made reservations last week for a late bday dinner with friends. This was my 1st time here & I must say I didnt know what to expect, but everything & the service was amazing! Our waiter Roman was kind, attentive, answered any questions we had & had a smile the whole time. Their Espresso Martinis are FIRE! Honestly, better then Gibson's to me. Lol Our bruschetta was delicious & my Smokey chicken, basil, pasta was a HIT! This place was so good, I came back yesterday for lunch. This will most definitely be my go-to for Italian in the neighborhood from now on. Very happy! Side note... the ambiance is absolutely stunning too. Perfect for a date night, bday dinner or girl's night!

It is rare that you find a restaurant that is open more than a few decades and has made itself part of its community with good food. Trattoria Peppino is one of those restaurants. It opened in 1978, and, from what I'm told, is an active member of the Elmwood Park community. I understand that a few times week they make lunches for several local schools. When I went, I enjoyed my experience and meal. First, the food is good. It is an old world Italian restaurant. I ordered the bruschetta, ribeye with grilled vegetables, tiramisu and shrimp risotto del giorno. The tomatoes in the bruschetta were super fresh and the bread was amazing, which is baked on premises. I also loved the wine and cream based sauce on the ribeye. My other favorite was the tiramisu. Second, parking is very easy. At the time I went, the public parking lot behind the restaurant was free. Third, the staff was super nice and passionate. During my meal, I had an opportunity to talk about the restaurant and roll in the community with them. I could hear the passion in their voices about the restaurant and it's history. Overall, this is a must visit.
